TITLE: Comparison of motor abilities of artistic gymnasts and TeamGym competitors AUTHOR: Eliška Selix Hlaváčková DEPARTMENT: Department of physical education SUPERVISOR: PaedDr. Jana Hájková ABSTRACT The aim of the thesis is to compare the motor abilities of gymnasts and TeamGym competitors. Artistic gymnastics, TeamGym and their brief historical development are introduced in the first part of the thesis. Furthermore, motor abilities are described here as well, which are gradually developed in both sports. Girls aged 12 and 13 took part in the testing. For my research, I have chosen gymnasts from Sports Club Hradčany, Jojo Gym and Sokol Vyšehrad. A total of 20 girls participated in the research. In the thesis I used UNIFITTEST battery (6-60) along with a comprehensive motor test - Jacík's test. Furthermore, the research was supplemented by a controlled interview with gymnastics coaches and TeamGym. The participants of the research filled out a questionnaire. Based on interviews and questionnaires, information was added that could have an impact on the results of the survey (number of training hours per week, other sports activities, etc.). The research part shows that gymnasts achieved better results on average in four out of five tests of motor abilities than TeamGym competitors. The biggest difference...

Šula, Marek ; Šteffl, Michal (advisor) ; Větrovský, Tomáš (referee)
Title: The relationship between physical fitness and selected tests of cognitive functions in pupils of elementary schools Objectives: The main aim of the thesis was to estimate the relationship between physical fitness and cognitive abilities among pupils of elementary schools Methods: The thesis was carried out as a cross-sectional study. Pupils aged 8 to 12 years (n = 66; age 9.8 ± 0.8) participated in the study. The cognitive abilities were determined using standardized online tests on the portal www.proskoly.cz, and the physical fitness levels was determined using the test battery Unifittest (6-60) Results: The girls did not differ from the boys in any of the tests. In the overall group, the relationships between cognitive abilities and physical fitness were very weak and statistically not significant. However, in girls, we found indirectly proportional statistically significant (p <0.05) relationships between the Visual Memory test and all the physical fitness tests as well as between the Perception test and Standing Long Jump test, Shuttle Run Agility test, Endurance test, and overall Unifittest (6-60) score. No statistically significant relationship was found in the boys; however, the correlation indicated that the relationships were directly proportional Key words: cognitive abilities,...
Dependence of somatotype and fitness condition in martial arts
Stibůrek, Michal ; Pavelka, Radim (advisor) ; Smolík, Petr (referee)
Title: Dependence of somatotype and fitness condition in martial arts. Thesis aim: Main aim of this thesis is to find out mutual dependence among tracked variables - placed in ranking list and UNIFITTEST (6-60). Methods: For theoretical part of thesis the author used method of analysis and synthesis of specialized literary sources. In practical part the main method used was regression analysis. Method according to Heath-Carter was used to assessment somatotype. Towards evaluation of kinetic performance and efficiency was used UNIFITTEST (6-60). Results: Results from research show us that during the research of mutual dependencies it hasn't proved any link between tracked variables and place in ranking list UNIFITTEST (6-60). Considering measured values judo athletes are in category endomorphic mesomorphic and karate athletes are in category well-balanced mesomorphic. Keywords: somatotype, martial arts, karate, judo, UNIFITTEST (6-60)

Soucha, Filip ; Kokštejn, Jakub (advisor) ; Musálek, Martin (referee)
Title: The Level of Physical Activity and Physical Fitness at Elementary School-Age Children Author: Bc. Filip Soucha Thesis supervizor: Mgr. Jakub Kokštejn, Ph.D. Objectives: To determine and compare the level of physical activity, physical fitness and the amount of subcutaneous fat at younger school children. Furthermore, the next goal is to find out the correlation between them. Methods: The research group consists of 3rd, 4th and 5th grade pupils (n=77). The Unifittest (6-60) was applied to deduce the level of physical fitness, the TGMD- 2 test was employed to find out the level of physical activity. In addition, somatic measurements, which are integral to the Unifittest (6-60), were utilized to discover the amount of subcutaneous fat. Results: 32% of children showed average results in the complex physical fitness due to test standard. The same percentage of children (34%) was above and below the average standard as well. 79% of children presented imbalanced performances in particular tests. The best results were seen in sit-up test on the contrary, the worst results were given in endurance shuttle run. The level of subcutaneous fat was above-average at 50% of children,. The results of physical activity level uncovered the below-average performances at the research group -70% of the children....

Author: Bc. Jana Vosáhlová Title: The impact of the absence of physical education lessons on results of motor tests in elementary school children Goals: The aim of this work is to determine the effect of the absence of physical edu- cation classes on the results of motor tests, specifically on the results of the UNIFIT- TEST test battery (6-60) and on leisure time physical activity of primary school children aged 9-14 and to compare the results obtained with the results of a previously performed study which was carried out in the period during which physical education was taught in the usual way. Methods: A total of 87 children aged 9 to 14 (47 girls and 40 boys) from Husova 170 Elementary School in Jičín participated in the study. Pupils were tested using the UNIFITTEST test battery (6-60) from motor tests (standing long jump, repea- ted sit-ups, endurance shuttle running, shuttle running) and somatic measurements. However, due to the closure of schools as a result of the serious epidemiological situation, it was not possible to complete the entire motor test battery. Another part of the study was a questionnaire survey focused on the child's leisure activity during the coronavirus and summer holidays. Results: The negative effect of the absence of physical education was manifested only in the...
